The question everyone asks
"How many sessions will this take?" It's the first thing most people want to know — and it's a fair question. Nobody wants to sign up for indefinite weekly appointments with no end in sight.
Kevin gives a direct answer based on what he finds during the assessment. He doesn't use vague language like "it depends on the individual" without explaining what it actually depends on.
The factors that matter
How long the pattern has been established. A restriction that developed two weeks ago from a specific incident typically resolves faster than one that's been building for two years. Newer patterns have less neurological entrenchment.
How many areas are involved. A straightforward tennis elbow with one adhesion site may clear in one session. Chronic back pain with restriction patterns in the lumbar spine, hips, and thoracic spine involves more territory and typically needs more sessions.
Whether the cause is ongoing. If the restriction pattern is being fed by a daily activity — eight hours of desk work, a repetitive sport, a sleep position — treatment resolves the current restriction, but the pattern may partially return until the contributing factor is addressed.
The body's neurological response. Some people's nervous systems respond dramatically to the first session. Others release more gradually. Kevin assesses this during treatment and adjusts expectations accordingly.
Typical ranges by condition
These are general ranges — Kevin gives a specific estimate after your first assessment.
| Condition | Typical sessions | |---|---| | Tennis elbow, golfer's elbow | 1-2 | | Acute neck pain or stiffness | 1-2 | | Headaches / migraines | 1-3 | | Shoulder pain / frozen shoulder | 2-4 | | Chronic lower back pain | 2-4 | | Sciatica | 2-3 | | Hip pain / piriformis | 1-3 | | Plantar fasciitis | 1-2 | | TMJ / jaw pain | 1-3 | | Knee pain | 2-3 |
What Kevin won't do
Kevin won't book you for a package of 10 sessions upfront. He won't tell you to "come every week for the foreseeable future." He assesses, treats, and rechecks. If significant progress happens in one session, you might not need another. If the pattern is complex, he'll tell you honestly and suggest a realistic number.
He also won't keep treating if RAPID isn't producing results. If a condition isn't responding after two or three sessions, Kevin reassesses whether the issue is within RAPID's scope and refers out if needed.
How sessions are typically spaced
For most conditions, Kevin recommends spacing sessions 5 to 10 days apart. This gives the nervous system time to integrate the changes and the body's inflammatory response time to complete its healing cycle. Booking too frequently doesn't accelerate results — it can actually interrupt the process.
The honest bottom line
Most people see significant improvement in one to three sessions. Some conditions resolve completely in one visit. Complex, long-standing patterns may need four or more. Kevin gives you a realistic picture after your first session — not a sales pitch.
